Formed in 1953, as the Orange Businessmen's Association, The Orange Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1962.  Since then it has played an effective role in the affairs of the community.

Since 1794, the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce has served the south central region of Connecticut.  In its 208 years, the Chamber has evolved from a tightly knit group of business leaders focused on the needs of the city of New Haven, to a broad regional coalition recognizing the tremendous importance of a strong urban core to the economic health of the entire region.  The Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce offers its members a variety of programs, events and opportunities all geared to respond to their changing needs.  The Chamber's networking opportunities, educational seminars, lobbying, health insurance programs and trade shows all serve to highlight the advantages of Chamber membership not only to members but to the entire business community.

Whether you own a business, represent one, lead a corporate office, or manage an association, the U.S. Chamber provides a voice of experience and influence for you in Washington, D.C., and around the globe.

Since its beginning in 1981, the National Association for the Self-Employed has pioneered support for micro-businesses and the self-employed, while helping to define this important part of the American economy.
